games 400m relay in Athens, after tearing her anterior cruciate
ligament (ACL) one year beforehand, which had threatened her
sporting career.

is 35 years old; she is a Coastal Policeman in Greece and
also a professional beach volleyball player, she was seeded
6th at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. In her spare time she
plays squash and tennis. Efi had no previous history of
ligament damage prior to her injury in 2000.
