Anne, 52, is a Primary School teacher
currently teaching a class of 11 year olds and is
responsible for co-ordinating the teaching of PE.
My training and early teaching was as a PE specialist in
Secondary Schools. I currently run two netball clubs and a
Gym club for pupils after school and umpire netball matches.
Time constraints prevent me from taking regular exercise but
my hobbies include hill walking and my job involves a
considerable amount of activity! We own an extremely remote
cottage accessible only by sea or a 2km walk on a rough
track and we are currently improving a second cottage
involving some heavy building work!
Prior to the operation I was fit and
healthy but significantly limited by my knee. I had medial
menisectomies aged 16 and 18 following injuries playing
hockey, which I believe may have contributed to the
arthritic damage. |
